Welcome to Mole National Park, a haven for nature lovers (pronounced “Moh-lay”). Mole is Ghana’s first, largest, and most prestigious protected area, and it is a part of the Savanna Land Tourism Destination Area. The Park’s exceptional ecological, physical, historical, and cultural assets are the primary reasons for its management. It encompasses 4,577 km2 of largely unaltered Guinea savannah in Ghana’s northern region. More than 90 mammal species, including 5 primate species, 742 vascular plant species, and species of conservation concern to tourists include the elephant, buffalo, kob, western hartebeest, roan antelope, defassa waterbuck, oribi, bohor reedbuck, and red-flanked duiker. The Black and White Colobus Monkey, Leopard, and Lion are among the rare and imperiled species. In addition, 334 bird species, 33 reptile species, 9 amphibian species, and over 120 butterfly species can be found in the park. The Park is a hub for elephant conservation since it is home to Ghana’s most healthy elephant population. In contrast to other elephant populations in the rest of Africa, it is also claimed that the Park contains a special breed of elephants that are neither unfriendly, aggressive, or insecure. One of Ghana’s seven national parks is called Mole. The Wildlife Division of Ghana’s Forestry Commission is in charge of managing the other wildlife estates, which comprise six Resource Reserves, two wildlife sanctuaries, one Strict Nature Reserve, and five Ramsar sites. The goal of the Park is to produce economic activity surrounding the Park, raise funds, and sustainably manage the animal resources of Mole National Park in order to support local socio-economic development. By establishing a range system and working with outlying towns, effective law enforcement and park protection are guaranteed. The Mole National Park is now seeking to be recognized as a World Heritage Site and was included in UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Properties in 2000.
Road access is available to the Park. There is an unusable airfield there as well. The Northern Region and the Upper West Region of Ghana’s Mole each abut 33 outlying settlements. Visitors to the Park have the opportunity to experience the park’s priceless flora and fauna through game viewing, bird watching, educational walks, and camping, in addition to visiting some of the nearby communities to take in their rich cultural heritage, architecture, and traditional livelihood practices, among other things. There are several tourist destinations close by, including Bui National Park, Gbele Resource Reserve, Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, Paga Crocodile Pond, Paga Pio’s Palace, Wa Naa’s Palace, Pikworo Slave Camp, Sirigu (for its architecture and exterior décor), Ancient Mosques (particularly Larabanga, Bole, and Nakose), the Kraal buildings, Nalerigu Defense Wall, Gwollu Defense Wall, Navrong The Tamale Centre for National Culture, the Larabanga Mystery Stone, the Wuling Mushroom Rock, and the Daboya Smock Village are further attractions.
Mole Motel Tour Package
Join Mole Boy Travel & Safe Guide Tours to explore the breathtaking features of Ghanaian nature. You will have the ultimate safari experience in Ghana’s Mole National Park with this safari excursion. You will have the chance to interact with the people and learn more about their culture in addition to going on a safari. Only here can you simultaneously take in the natural world and learn about some of Ghana’s regional traditions.
Catch up with a 6am flight (Passion Air) from Kotoka International Airport for a domestic flight to Tamale. On arrival at 7am at the tamale airport, you’ll be met by a local representative from Mole Boy Travel & Safe Guide Tours for a transfer to the Mole National Park, home to 93 species of mammals, including herds of elephant, buck and a wide range of bird life (approximately 300 species). Then make a stop by in Damongo to have lunch and experience a Hiking tour of the Jakpa mountains & cave in Damongo. Then Proceed to the park to Check-in at the Mole Motel in the mole national park. Then relax and experience a Game Drive around 3:30pm-5:30pm, then back to the hotel to catch up with dinner at 7pm. (End of day tour). Overnight stay at Mole Motel.
DAY 2. MOLE – LARIBANGA – MOGNORI ECO VILLAGE Experience a morning Walking safari which starts around 7am- 9am.breakfast immediately after the morning Drive. Then start a community tour around 10:30am which consist of a tour of the larabanga Mosque and the mystic stone, then proceed to the mognori eco village for a canoe safari, Village Walk and a shea butter processing lesson, then have lunch at the mognori eco village. Then head back to the park to relax by the hotel pool/viewing point side and have dinner at 5:30pm, then prepare for a night safari which will start around 7pm-8pm.then head back to the hotel. (End of day tour) Overnight stay at Mole Motel.
DAY 3. MOLE – TAMALE Breakfast is open around 6am-9am, then relax and Check-out from the Mole Motel around 11:30am for a drop off in the tamale airport to catch up with a 5:30pm flight passion air back to Accra (End of tour)

Zaina Lodge Tour Package
